Topic: Technology

The government’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) programs make over $2.6 billion in high-risk, non-dilutive capital available to innovative small companies annually. Join SBIR/STTR expert, Becky Aistrup, and learn SBIR/STTR program basics, including eligibility requirements, the difference between SBIR and STTR, participating agencies and tips for success. Then focus in on essential information for crafting a competitive proposal to meet the mission and requirements of the Dept. of Defense, Dept. of Energy and the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture. Becky will cover the distinguishing features and technology areas addressed by each of the agencies, getting registered so you can submit, preparing proposal components for maximum impact, what reviewers expect, and more. Agenda for program: Afternoon Day 1 and Morning Day 2: Proposal Preparation. Afternoon Day 2: one on one coaching appointments with Dr. Kurek.

Special Instructions: Registration for this program DOES NOT include the preceding SBIR 101 workshop. You must register separately for the SBIR 101 workshop. Out of state businesses or those needing more information on SBIR/STTR should contact Daniel Eliot at deliot@udel.edu for payment information. Program is free but pre-registration is required.
