Please join the Delaware SBDC for this hands-on, hybrid workshop, supporting entrepreneurs looking to sharpen their applied marketing skills by working with SBDC Advisor Caroline Hermance, on targeted creative projects - not just learning a few best practices, but actually sitting down and creating with the help of an industry expert.
August's series will take place on Thursdays. The sessions will focus on Canva and some best practices for Social media through copywriting and captions. With each session, participants will learn and review the tools needed to expand their knowledge of tools that can be used to help their businesses with the goal of improving organic engagement on their own accounts. Concepts covered will include copywriting/post captioning, accessibility training, smartphone photography and editing techniques, and how to use assistive and AI tools. August's sessions are organized as follows:
Thurs. 8/3: Canva Basics
				•	Creating New Projects
				•	Basics of Design Theory - Fonts, Colors, Spacing
				•	Making use of templates
				•	Preview of tools & platform capabilities
Thurs. 8/17: Copywriting & Captions
				•	Best Practices for Social Media
				•	Assistive Tools (Grammarly)
				•	Using AI Tools like Chat GPT, Magic Write, etc.
Attendees will learn new skills in Marketing and Communications, making them more effective as creators and content developers. They should expect that with implementation of the skills learned in the workshop to see higher engagements, views/impressions, and conversions from social media platforms.
