SBIR Proposal Preparation Workshop: NSF and NIH

This 1.5-day workshop will cover all aspects of writing SBIR/STTR grants focused on life science technologies including: eligibility, sources of funding and agency differences, understanding what reviewers look for, and step-by-step instruction on how to write each section of your proposal. The workshop will cover the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health programs, with detailed emphasis on NIH. Presenter: Becky Aistrup, Managing Partner, BBC Entrepreneurial Training & Consulting Who should attend: • Anyone planning on submitting an SBIR/STTR proposal in the next 12 months • Individuals interested in learning enough about the program to determine if they are interested in pursuing future submissions • Individuals supporting SBIR/STTR applicants and companies including financial managers, business managers, other administrative personnel • Individuals from academic institutions interested in working with SBIR/STTR applicants as subcontractors and supporting personnel Time: Day 1: 8:30am - 4:30pm Day 2: 8:30am – 12pm DSBDC SBIR/STTR Proposal Prep Cohort Program An initiative of the University of Delaware Small Business Development Center, the NIH SBIR/STTR Proposal Prep Cohort Program will select a cohort of companies through a competitive process and provide each with one-on-one expert proposal development assistance targeting submission for the April 5, 2018 NIH SBIR/STTR deadline. Phase I cohort companies will receive 5 hours of one-on-one proposal development assistance. Phase II cohort companies will receive 10 hours of assistance. (Program value: $1,000 for Phase I and $2,000 for Phase II proposals.) Additional hours will be the responsibility of the company at $200/hr. Please note: The Jan. 10-11 Intensive SBIR/STTR training above is MANDATORY for companies planning to apply for the DESBDC cohort (application deadline: midnight January 15)
