Are you: A family-owned business? Seeking to buy a family-owned business? A business owner looking for an exit strategy? For the third consecutive year, Delaware Business Times will be partnering with the Small Business Development Center of the University of Delaware, an affiliate of the SBA, to produce a series of three workshops directed to assisting family-owned businesses. These workshops start at 7:30 a.m., provide full breakfast, and will be held in March, May, and September. PART I Join us for the first of three events in the Delaware Business Times SBDC Family Business Development Series with special guest speaker Phil Clemens. Phil is recently retired as the CEO of all the businesses in the Clemens Family Corporation, including Hatfield Quality Meats. He will share valuable information on his experience in keeping the family business together, growing and stable over multiple generations. Designed to challenge, inform and engage, this breakfast event is appropriate for family business executives of all size family businesses, attorneys, accountants and financial planners. Phil Clemens has spent his entire working career with the family business started in the 1890s by his grandfather.
