Tue 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM
Topic: Managing Business

Presented by the Delaware Business Times and the SBDC. Every business owner should know, what would make my business valuable to someone else. The factors that go into making a business valuable are things to be taken into consideration when growing a business, seeking investors, adding new business partners and most importantly when developing a strategic plan. When asked the value of their home or their business, the majority of owners over value both! The value of a business is not based on the sales or the total assets, even though both are important factors. Professional business appraisers look at a many factors in determining the real value of a business and as a business owner you should know what are those factors. With that knowledge you will be able to establish a strategic plan that ensures you are increasing the value of your business and not unknowingly decreasing it! Speaker topics: • What things are taken into consideration in a business valuation? • What can you do NOW to enhance the value of your business? • How does a bank and the SBA view business valuation in the loan process? • The good the bad and the ugly – real stories of business valuations!

Speaker(s): • Judith Scarborough, CPA/ABV, CVA; Director at Master Sidlow & Associates, P.A. Certified Public Accountants •David K. Bernstein, Principal, RLS Associates, a mergers and acquisition firm • John F.
