Small Business Jobs Act Programs

Delaware SBTDC is proud to receive $325,000 grant from the US Small Business Adminstration through the Small Business Jobs Act to implement new programs over two years.

Here are some highlighted programs we are offering currently:

 

 
1) Business Development Network

This intensive training and networking program gives selected business owners coaching by three professional coaches, PLUS the opportunity to network with non-competing peers. Applications being accepted for the Newark series that begins in September and for a Dover network to begin in October. As this is a pilot program, there is no charge to the business. Participants will be selected based upon the information provided. More info...

 In order to participate you must:

  • Have been in business 3 years or more AND have at least $100,000 in revenue
  • Fill out the online application right away for the best chance of being selected 
2) Business Boost

This intensive business improvement program funded by the Small Business Administration as a part of the Federal Small Business Jobs Act.  Its goal is to help businesses increase revenue, grow profitability, and add jobs. Download the application, so you can get started ASAP. 3) Sales Management Coaching

Sales skills are often the missing link in a growing business owner's tool-kit. It doesn't matter how good your product or service is, if you can't sell it to potential customers you won't be in business for long. SALES MANAGEMENT COACHING is an intensive business improvement program funded by the Small Business Administration as a part of the Federal Small Business Jobs Act. 4) Electronic and Social Media Marketing

Is your business using the best marketing tools to reach your target audience?

How it work: Once accepted into the program. The SBTDC will analyze the business target markets and assess the business' marketing efforts.Next we will identify the areas of targeted assistance needed to improve the effectiveness of marketing efforts and develop a tactical plan to move the business ahead in those areas.The SBTDC will coordinate the implementation of projects and assure that all services are evaluated for quality and impact. More info...
